For low to moderate income homeowners, you might qualify to take advantage of this zero interest, deferred payment loan. Residents of Douglas County may sign up to receive up to $25,000 in necessary home repair. Possible repairs include: New roof, paint, siding, foundation, electrical, heat upgrades, new windows, insulation, bathroom or kitchen upgrades and more.

How do I qualify?

  • Total gross household income must be at or below the state income limits for Douglas County, per HUD guidelines.

  • There must be enough equity in the home to cover the amount of the loan.

  • Homeowners must be up to date on their mortgage and taxes.

  • Homeowners must have adequate homeowners insurance coverage.

  • Homeowners must have land rights. No homes in parks.
